How do I get my order?
Don't despair it's actually all very easy, but before you place an order with us it is crucial that you know which delivery region you are based in. This can be done simply by looking up your location on the map below.
Now there is good news and there is bad news...
The good news is the prices for all areas marked in Orange already include delivery on an Economy service which will take 2-3 working days to reach you. Deliveries are made on vehicles with tail lifts and pallet trucks.
Our yard is based in Smallfield, Surrey which is very close to Gatwick Airport. As we run a fleet of our own hiab (crane) vehicles, we can also offer deliveries to our customers within the surrounding area by one of own vehicles at no extra charge. Delivery will be made within a maximum of 10 working days by a crane vehicle.
STANDARD DELIVERY AREAS COVERED BY OUR HIAB VEHICLES ARE:-
Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire, Hampshire, London, Surrey & Sussex.
The bad news is the other areas (Blue and Yellow) carry a delivery surcharge. We're sorry about this but as you are a little bit further away this is rather unavoidable so please don't take it personally. Deliveries to Ireland and the Isle of Wight are also available by quotation.
But I want my order tomorrow
For a small additional fee, we are able to upgrade your delivery to a NEXT WORKING DAY service if the goods that you are ordering are in stock. We love shopping online too and know how long a few days seems when you want something NOW. For NEXT WORKING DAY delivery, orders must be placed by 11.30 a.m the previous working day.
What type of vehicle will deliver my order?
In order to be able to provide a nationwide delivery service for our products we use a national carrier service. Deliveries are made on vehicles with hydraulic tail lifts and manual pallet trucks. Please ensure that there is a smooth, level surface for the driver to be able to unload onto (i.e not gravel, grass or sloped) - pushing 1 tonne of material on a pallet truck is hard at the best of times.
Please also note that the vehicles are the size of a large removal lorry. Please appreciate that it is down to the driver to decide where the product can be placed, this is usually a point close to the road. The maximum single pallet weight for this delivery method is 1.25 tonnes. With apologies it is not possible to carry materials into rear gardens, down paths etc. Most of our deliveries will arrive on wooden pallets (including Bulk Bags and Sleepers.) Safe disposal of these pallets is the responsibility of the customer.

Deliveries will be made to the kerbside by a vehicle with a hydraulic tail lift and manual pallet truck. The positioning of your goods is at the discretion of the driver. The unloading surface must be smooth and level i.e not sloped, gravel or grass. If a delivery cannot be made we will have to make an “Abandoned Delivery Charge” to cover the high costs of returning the goods back to us. |

What time will my order arrive?
Your order will be delivered between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. If you would like your order to arrive during the morning we are able to arrange this for a small surcharge. For more details on this service, please call us on 01342 843663.
Can I have my goods delivered on a Saturday?
Of course you may, but sadly there is a rather hefty surcharge imposed on this service by our carriers. A great way around this it to place your order by 11.30am on any Thursday and pay a little extra for the Next Working Day service, so that your goods arrive on the Friday. Compared to the £30+vat per pallet Saturday surcharge it is quite a bargain! If you would still like your delivery to be made on a Saturday, please call us for details.
I need large quantities, will a tipper lorry be cheaper?
Tipper vehicles are undoubtedly the most economical way to deliver larger loose loads. We have an array of different vehicles to cover various sized loose deliveries. As a guide If you are in the areas covered by our crane vehicles a tipper vehicle can be arranged very easily and there are usually big savings to be made.
The smallest tippers that we employ carry a weight of 10 tonnes. Whilst they can carry loads smaller than this the delivery charge for the entire vehicle remains the same so the cost per tonne would increase. The largest lorries on which we can make deliveries are articulated vehicles. These vehicles carry substantial loads of up to 29 tonnes in weight and up to 50m³of the lightweight materials such as Mulches and Woodchips.
Inevitably articulated loads are the fastest and most economic way to obtain large loose loads, but due to the considerable size of the vehicles it is vital that they can gain access to the delivery destination easily.
You get what you pay for
All tipper loads sold by the tonne are weighed out on our calibrated weighbridge at our Smallfield site. A weighbridge ticket will always be sent to you with your delivery note.
